Create beautiful beds & borders


Before: This area is rather unsightly & difficult to maintain. The goal is to remove the grass to make a larger, more attractive bed.		After: Weeds & grass have been removed making the fence stand out. The bed is now more attractive & much easier to maintain.

Here's how to do it:


1. Start by cutting the outline of the bed with the "Heart Hoe". You can do this by thrusting the blade through the grass along the bed outline.		2. If the grass is thick, you can step on the blade to make the cut. Wear proper shoes.


3. Now use the "Ripper". Insert the rear tines into the grass just below the surface & pull.		4. You will be surprised at how easily the roots are ripped out with this tool.


5. After the grass has been removed, lay the heart hoe blade flat, push & pull through the soil to clean up the bed & then rake.		These tools make grass removal easy. The heart hoe will weed and edge the bed as part of your future maintenance.

The "Ripper" choices:


The "Ripper" comes in two blade sizes as shown above & both work the same. The 6 tine blade is for larger beds & sells for $30. The 4 tine blade is for smaller beds & sells for $20.
