I just had to tell you how wonderful your hoe is. I bought a heart hoe
for my self last year as I love gardening and this hoe seemed perfect.
Only a week after I bought it I received a phone call from my mom that
my dad had been diagnosed with MS. That combined with his severe
arthritis had sent him into a depression which I have never known him to
have, not even went he was sent to Vietnam in 1968. The worst thing of
all though, was that he had decided not to have his garden that year and
that was the most heartbreaking thing of all. My dad is 73 and has had a
garden for over 30 years now. He lives in Maine and has one of the most
beautiful flower and vegetable garden in the state. Not only does his
garden provide food for him and my mother, but he always donated pounds
of fresh vegetables to soup kitchens, nursing homes and neighbors who do
not have much. His garden is an extension of who he is and it broke my
heart to think he would never garden again. His arthritis though had
gotten worse and it had almost gotten impossible to work the garden
without so much pain.

I decided to send him my newly bought hoe as a pick me up but little did
I realize just what the hoe would do! My mother called and told me the
hoe had arrived and my dad at that moment was "puttering around his
garden with it". She also said that his smile was the first she had seen
in months. I found out that he used that hoe for 4 hours that day and
his whole outlook had completely changed. He could return to his garden
without pain, as the hoe was so easy on his hands.His frustration
disappeared and that year his garden was more plentiful and more
beautiful than any other year before. Your hoe not only gave him back
his love of gardening but also his love of life and a new hope. Thank
you so much for creating a garden tool which can make gardening so much
easier but also a product which can bring so much joy.
